TOMORROW = COLLEGE GIRL

We are all exhausted.
Yesterday we took a big load to #1's apartment and worked all day at getting that all set up and put away. She isn't there permanently yet, she wanted to be at home to see #2 off to college tomorrow.
Yep, I said TOMORROW.
...TOMORROW...
TOMORROW, TOMORROW

That is the day I didn't want to come.
No matter how good I try to make it sound, it just sounds like......
TOMORROW!

Tomorrow is going to be another big, exhausting, exciting, raw day.
I remember when I took #2 to kindergarten the very first day and how I sat out in the parking lot and just stared at the building hoping to see some movement in her classroom window and hoped to get a glimpse of her.
I wasn't sad. I just wanted to see her.
I was relieved to know that just about every car had a mom in it doing the same thing.

We have a lot to do today and I don't want to do to any of it.
I'd rather just go sit somewhere and just stare at her and watch every move she makes today and try in engrave everything into my memory, because
TOMORROW
it will be different.
She will be a college girl.

Ooohhh, I have tears in my eyes for you.
It's so hard, believe me I know. But as we both know . . .we've raised them to be independant young people that we have to let go . . . it's all good, hard but good.
Mom Hugs to you.

It just isn't easy, is it. They are so excited to go and we are in tears to say goodbye! My son is at fish camp until Tuesday and then we take him back for move in on Thursday. Basically, it feels as if he's already gone.
My daughter is coming in for the week so at least I will have her for a few days. My last one starts senior year and I will have to go through all of this again in a year.
At least you still have a few years left with your last one. Good luck, and I will be thinking of you!

Love reading your posts! I have one year until my #1 starts Kindergarten and I don't want to blink--I know it will fly by and I'll be in your shoes before I know it. Oh I just can't imagine. I am having a hard enough time doing three days a week for three hours! I am going to be a mess :)

I know the feeling Lisa. I have to take my daughter to college tomorrow(Thursday) and I am dreading it. She will be a junior, but I still am not looking forward to her going back to school after such an awesome summer together. I miss my girls being at home. This empty nest stuff is for the birds!!! I like having my girls around. #3 will sure miss the other girls this year at your house. I can't imagine the craziness at your house with trying to get 2 girls off to college. My house looks like a war zone with just one leaving. LOL! You and I will have to get together one weekend and meet for lunch. That would be fun!! Love & blessings from NC!
