CHARLESTON AGAIN

We got home late yesterday from Charleston. It was a tax free weekend so we literally unloaded the car and took off shopping. We had a few bigger things we needed to get the girls for school.

The rest of our Charleston trip was wonderful.
We had a really good time together and some GREAT meals!
The Man of the House and I went out to eat with some of the other people that were there for the conference. We went to Magnolia's, which was great! The girls ventured out on their own and went out to eat together too...... quality sister time at daddy's expense!

We stopped by the pralines shop too often. We bought way too many pralines and turtles while we were there.
(Hello five pounds!  I have some work to do this week and it is not going to be all that fun!)

I loved looking at all of the old style candies that they had.

The conference had a 007 Casino Night and since it was all pretend gambling the girls were invited to go along with us.
Their dad taught them how to play Blackjack. (He's such a good dad!)

#3 is so competitive and a quick thinker. She kept winning hand after hand.
I tried to get a picture of one of her 21's before the dealer cleared the table.

She was a lot of fun to watch!

At the end of the evening, you were able to cash in all of the chips that you won for raffle tickets. They gave away all sorts of prizes like golf clubs, gift certificates and small appliances.

This is a picture of the girls at the end of the night.

We were tired and couldn't wait to get back to our room and go to bed.

**************

Now that we are home, reality is setting in.
This is a busy week and I am afraid it is going to go by way too fast.
We take #2 to college on Saturday.
We have a lot to do, but I also just want to sit back and relax and enjoy some downtime with her. Hopefully, we will get to that later on in the week after we get her things organized.
I've watched her pack for many camps and mission trips, but I've never watched her pack for  anything like this. I am feeling okay about her going to school, I just know that next week is going to be very quiet around here!

Tis the season! I have finally convinced my daughter (it took two years) that she doesn't have to bring ALL her clothes for the first few months of school. She will be home for a fall break and get THEN get her cold weather apparel!

looks like a fun family trip...I'll be thinking of you next weekend...just settled my youngest into her dorm room for year 2. She had to be there early for camp and it worked out well...last year she and her roomate moved in at the same time and there was no room to walk. It is most definitely hard to come home to a quiet house...my oldest is a senior this year-college has flown by even faster than highschool!
