#1 sent me a picture after she boarded the cruise ship yesterday.
She is all smiles of course.
I would be too if I was getting ready to sail to the Caribbean
and feel the warmth of the sun for the next week.

Thought I would share some pictures from last weekend.
We went to her Sorority Parent Cocktail
at UNC.
It was held at the beautiful Carolina Inn.
This place has southern written all over it.

I did not take my camera with me and used my iphone as an experiment.
I am not really happy with the results and won't rely on it again.

#1 and one of her best friends.

Daddy proving that he really does know how to shag.

Her eyes are looking a little wicked in this picture.
I tried to clean it up, but it made it look worse so
I just left it alone.

We had a great time and met a lot of the parents of the girls she is always talking about.
It is such a blessing to be apart of a sorority.
Instant family!

#1 is a beauty!!! We were married at the Methodist church on Franklin ST (and both of our sons were christened there). Our rehearsal dinner was in the Old Well Room, and we had our reception in the Grand Carolina Inn!

Sigh...I wish that I was cruising to somewhere warm and tropical right now!

My younger daughter's boyfriend may be on the same ship...left out of Charleston too. He is with some of his fraternity brothers. My daughter is not 21 so a cruise didn't seem like a good idea.

Sorority life is fun! Mine is having a mini reunion in Burnsville this summer...a brother of one of the girls owns a beautiful home up on the mountain there and he lets us borrow it.

I love the Carolina Inn (just not UNC. Ha!). Sorority life was a lot of fun. Lifelong friends for sure. I'm jealous of your girls. I need a spring break!

That looked like so much fun. I don't think the daughter's sorority has had such a function. Hmm.
On the other hand, we were just invited to Mr. 19's Fraternity parent function in April and lucky us we already had plans to be in San Diego that very weekend! Yay!

I hope the cruise goes well. :)
