IN MEMORY OF MY MOM

Barbara O'Briant
December 18, 1939 - February 8, 2010

Austria - 2007

Carefree, she stepped into the sunlight
her face uplifted to the sun;
while I,
aware of brewing storms
that etched
the sky,
clutched at a fear
and nursed it.

Then I
saw her hand
outstretched
like a small child;
and while
I watched,
Another Hand
reached down and clasped it.

I heard the
distant thunder
with
a
smile.

I love you momma!

I am so sorry, Lisa. One is never truly prepared to lose their mother. I lost mine 11 years ago and know how you are feeling. My heart and prayers are with you and your family. Take time for yourself and just be.

Oh Lisa,

I am so sorry. So very sorry. One thing you can find comfort in: Your mother KNEW you loved her. She raised a wonderful daughter.

I am praying for ALL of you. I know this will be hard for your girls too. May God give you all the strength you need to get through this difficult time and may He give you peace.

Much love

Lisa, I'm so sorry. I wish I lived closer because I really would do a meal or something for you and your family. The next few days will be a blur but just remember we are all thinking of you.

Lisa...I've gotten behind in my blog reading and am just seeing this today...2/15. I'm so very sorry for your loss and hope that you and your family will feel the power of the prayers that are being offered for each and every one of you. I encourage you to use your blog and lean on your blog friends as much as you do the "real" people in your life to help you get through this difficult time.
