CARDED

#2's sorority at NC State recently had Family Weekend.
It is a weekend full of events, open houses and tailgating at the football game with all of the members of the sorority and their families.
On Friday night there was a cocktail reception at a restaurant in downtown Raleigh.

After dinner hours, I guess this place turns into a nightclub because there was a dance floor and a band setting up in the corner. They had half of the area set up for the reception and the other half was open for business as usual.
There was a line to get in and someone at the door checking ID's.

#3 is 12 years old and she was carded before she was allowed to go in.
She had no clue what was going on, why they were asking her for an ID and why they put that big fat X on her hand.

When I explained it to her she was mortified.

#1 and #2 thought it was a glorious event in her life and was so proud of that X on their little sister's hand.

Oh the mind of a 20 and 18 year old girl..........and the things that are important to them and impress them are just a mystery to me!

So funny! And what exactly does a 12-year-old show for ID???

Rachel asked what I was going to ask "What DID she have for an I.D.?"
